Proudly Australian owned, designed and made, we use innovative manufacturing and algorithmic modelling technologies to individually ‘grow’ sustainable wholly unique designs that mimic the captivating patterns of natural phenomena.

With appreciation for the boundless potential of innovative technologies, which we believe hold the key to truly sustainable, inspiring design, we use cutting edge technology to design, generate and manufacture our Treasures.

Combining complex growth algorithms, 3D printing and laser-cutting technology, and a passion for true mimicry of nature’s intrinsic beauty, our Tide Pool Treasures are carefully grown and crafted with their own unique formation, emulating the wonders of the natural world.

SUSTAINABLE

At Tide Pool we are passionate about doing all we can to benefit our beloved environment, starting with a holistic approach to sustainable practice across design and fabrication. All our Treasures are crafted from recycled, recyclable and/or bio-degradable materials where possible; coupled with the minimal waste of precision 3D-printing technology. Our studio is fuelled by renewable energy and houses a dedicated multi-tier manufacture waste recycling system with a focus on internal re-use.

PROACTIVE

With a deep appreciation for the wellbeing benefits of nature-immersion and countless memories of joyful experiences we are extremely passionate about playing an active role in conserving our nature-found muses.

In addition to provoking conversations on and interest in the importance of protecting the natural world, a donation is made to a relevant non-profit on behalf of every claimed Tide Pool Treasure; each Collection directly supporting conservation of their natural muse.

CREATIVE PROCESS

When conceiving Tide Pool’s collections and one-off creations, we draw from past and present experiences in nature to identify our source of inspiration and the creative direction we will take.

This can take the form of a more generalised muse inspired by a collection of experiences, such as the love of coral founded over many years of reef explorations that gave life to our CORALESCENCE Collection, or more specific experiences tied to a particular place or even a singular memory rife with creative potential.

We don’t seek to simply recreate or accurately mimic our muses as we believe that would defeat the purpose of our designs; serving to remind others of a specific ‘thing’ as opposed to evoking memories of and desires for future joyful nature-based experiences of their own.

Once we’ve homed in on our inspiration, we set about examining what it is that makes this muse so special, why it was capable of inspiring such delight in us – and how this could be translated to others through our sculptural designs.

With an understanding of our muse’s unique formation our creative process takes a mathematical turn, recreating these base principles into complex growth algorithms to reconstruct the muse’s intriguing form in our own evocative way.

Lastly, we draw on expertise in 3D and 2D fabrication methods to create, assemble and finesse each  of our individually unique Treasures; ready to inspire joy in their new home.
